Indigenous Round 2023
In 2023 the AFL celebrates moments forged by First Nations in the Sir Doug Nicholls Round across Rounds 10 and 11 of the 2023 AFL Premiership Season. Coincident with the AFL celebrations, the Fitzroy Junior Football Club continues a long tradition of recognising our part in Indigenous Footy History.
FJFC award a player from each team, the Joe Johnson Indigenous Round Medal – which represents the principles of Endurance, Tenacity, Courage, Loyalty and Pride. Our U15/U16 teams also proudly wear the unique FJFC Indigenous Round jumper that was designed by Emma Bamblett in late 2021.
