Dear Roys families,
We officially launch our new season on Sunday 6 April 2025, and we will be launching FJFC 2025 events called the The 5th Quarter
The 5th Quarter is your chance to celebrate everything that makes Fitzroy Junior Football Club special.
More than just a game, FJFC events are about coming together as the “We are Fitzroy” community —players, families, coaches, volunteers and supporters.
United by our club’s values of Respect, Team Spirit, Well-being, Mentoring & Development, and Inclusiveness.
This event is all about:
- Connecting with teammates and the wider Fitzroy community
- Celebrating our club culture and spirit
- Providing opportunities for players and club members to be involved beyond the game
- Having fun and getting excited for the season ahead

5th Quarter Club event – Celebrating the End of Season 2025 – Community rooms at Brunswick Street Oval (BSO)
Our next all-club social gathering for the season will be held from 6.00-8.00pm, Sunday 10 Aug 2025 at the Fitzroy-Victoria Bowls Club (right next to the Brunswick Street Oval).
This is a great chance to celebrate being part of such a vibrant and inclusive footy club – “We Are Fitzroy!”
Food: yummy burgers and salads available to purchase on the night and drinks at bar prices

5th Quarter Club event – Celebrating FJFC women and girls players and leaders – Community rooms at Brunswick Street Oval (BSO)
Our next all-club social gathering for the season will be held from 5.30-8.30pm, Sunday 27 July 2025 at the
*** BSO Community Room **** , next to the pavilion adjacent to Brunswick St Oval.
Join us this Sunday for our next Fifth Quarter event as we celebrate the incredible women and girls in our community!
This evening is all about recognising the talent and dedication of our female players and leaders, while honouring the amazing support from coaches, volunteers and everyone involved in our strengthening girls program. We want our girls to not only love their footy but to build strong, lasting connections and feel inspired to chase their goals.
With special guests, including accomplished players and coaches, this celebration promises to be a memorable occasion filled with inspiration and camaraderie.
Let’s come together to celebrate our members and empower the next generation of females in footy!

25 MAY THE 5TH QUARTER – JOE JOHNSON ROUND
Our next all-club social gathering for the season will be held from 5.30-8.30pm, Sunday 25 May at the Fitzroy-Victoria Bowls Club (right next to the Brunswick Street Oval).
Come and join us for a very special 5th Quarter at the Fitzroy Bowls Club, celebrating Joe Johnson rounds.
Joe Johnson is acknowledged as the first indigenous player in the VFL/AFL when he debuted for Fitzroy in 1904. Pastor Sir Doug Nicholls (who the AFL celebrates in its indigenous rounds) also played for Fitzroy.
We have some special guests, and are hoping our Joe Johnson medal winners across round 5 and 6 can join us on Sunday night.
BBQ dinner is available and drinks at bar prices.
THe BBQ will offer “Build your own burgers” with Beef, Chicken or Vegetable
$12 each includes : cheese, tomato, beetroot, lettuce, pickles, onions.
Cheese kranskys in roll $8 – Sausage in roll $4.50 – Sausage in bread $3.50
All Above includes onions, Saurkraut, cheese.

4 May 2025 – The 5th Quarter – “Fundraiser”
Our next all-club social gathering for the season will be held from 5.30-8.30pm, Sunday 4 May at the Fitzroy-Victoria Bowls Club (right next to the Brunswick Street Oval).
All funds raised from the evening will go towards supporting the Toelupe family

Our first all-club social gathering for the season will be held from 6pm, Sunday 6 April at the Fitzroy-Victoria Bowls Club (right next to the Brunswick Street Oval).
Come and celebrate junior footy and school holidays with team mates and club mates across our 28 teams.
