Player and parent conduct
A huge congratulations to our players and our families on the way you have conducted yourselves this season – it’s a credit to you all and it makes me so proud of our club.
It helps that so many have completed the Positive Parenting course and actively uphold our values, including sportsmanship, safety and wellbeing.
History shows us that it gets more challenging to play and support the Roys way when we hit real winter weather in the last few rounds of the season. An important reminder:
Please don’t engage with opposition players, supporters, game day volunteers or the umpire, or voice loud complaints from the sidelines.
Please raise any concerns directly with your team manager on the day.
Club of the Year – help us get there!
The league will be awarding its inaugural team of the year at its grand final breakfast in late August.
A huge contributor to this is the club who has the highest number of parents who complete the Positive Parenting course.
This online course provides valuable tips on how best to support your child on their junior footy journey.
It’s easy, relatable and helpful. Free access to this great course is available until 31 July with our unique club code YJFL-FIT25-2.
Jump on now, it takes 45 minutes at most and you’ll help yourself and the club at the same time!
Club awards – nominations open soon
Nominations for our annual club awards – coach of the year, club person of the year, volunteer of the year and club champion (U14s and up) open soon – more info to come.
Please take the time to recognise someone in the club who has made footy great this year.
Toyota Good for Footy raffle – last few weeks
We are SO close to hitting our fundraising target and we will be announcing some extra incentives for the team that sells the most tickets each week. Stay tuned!
The support we depend on
Thanks to Hagen’s Organics for donating top-tier sausages for the BBQ fundraiser for our club at East Brunswick Village last Saturday.
And a big welcome to our new partner, Grill’d Collingwood, who are providing meal vouchers and running a special deal in August – more to come.
Partners are vital for community clubs like ours and we gratefully acknowledge their ongoing support on our website.
Happy round 11 and Go Roys!
Bridget
