At the halfway point of Joe Johnson rounds, here is some key information:
THE 5TH QUARTER – JOE JOHNSON ROUND – 5:30-8:30PM SUNDAY 25 MAY
Come and join us for a very special 5th Quarter at the Fitzroy Bowls Club, celebrating Joe Johnson rounds. Joe Johnson is acknowledged as the first Indigenous player in the VFL/AFL when he debuted for Fitzroy in 1904. Pastor Sir Doug Nicholls (who the AFL celebrates in its Indigenous rounds) also played for Fitzroy.
We have some special guests and are hoping our Joe Johnson medal winners across round 5 and 6 can join us on Sunday night. BBQ dinner is available and drinks at bar prices.

Please support our major fundraiser for the year. We’ve had a great start and now up to $4385 (45% of our target) and sitting #6 on the national leaderboard! All the money raised comes back to the club. Congrats to U10 Red for being the first team to reach $350 (currently sitting at over $1000).

POSITIVE PARENTING COURSE – HURRY, CLOSES 31 MAY
Our free access to this great course closes on 31 May. The course can be accessed here with our unique club code YJFL-FIT25-2. The club with the highest completion rate will win a signed Collingwood jumper and earn valuable points in the league’s Club of the Year award. At the moment, we are running a very close second to Ivanhoe JFC – let’s go Roys!
MORE REASONS TO REFUND YOUR CONTAINERS
The Victorian Container Deposit Scheme is giving us a chance to win $10,000. All you need to do is deposit 50 cans or bottles before 15 June. The more entries we have the more likely we are to win.
