FJFC Countdown to Round 1 2025

Dear Roys families,

With just over one  week until the start of the season, a quick checklist from me:

Practice matches – Sunday 30 March – see your team’s WhatsApp chat for time and venue.  No mouthguard, no play. We use the practice matches as a dress rehearsal for round one so we need all our game day helpers on board – trainers, boundary and goal umpires – so please respond early and often to your team manager’s request for helpers.

Merchandise  – Your last chance to pick up playing gear and merchandise before the season starts is this Saturday 29 March 2-4pm at the ticket box (corner of Brunswick and Freeman Streets).  You can order online here right across the season.

First club social function – “The 5th Quarter” (formerly known as Roys Recovery) – Join us at the Bowls Club from 5:30pm on Sunday 6 April to celebrate the start of the season (and the start of school holidays!) Meet players and parents from across our 28 teams and take the night off cooking.

Volunteers – The club still has some key roles to fill for season 2025. The current committee positions include Sponsorship Manager, Grounds and Equipment Manager, and an Umpire Coordinator to support our younger (under 14 years old) umpires.
